Privacy Policy

LINQ is operated by BluePine Labs LLC. This policy explains what information LINQ collects, why it is used, how it is shared, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, user ID, and authentication status.
• Profile information: name, age, gender identity, city, bio, conversation starter, interests, optional favorite song, artist, album artwork and preview link, preferences, and profile photos.
• Private account information: exact birthdate and adult confirmation. Exact birthdate is not shown on your public profile.
• Activity and content: likes, passes, matches, messages, date plans, venue feedback, reports, blocks, verification requests, and product feedback.
• Device and diagnostic information: notification tokens, app version, iOS version, device type, and technical crash information when needed for notifications, security, reliability, and support.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, display profiles, apply discovery preferences, form mutual matches, operate messaging, recommend and coordinate dates, deliver notifications, process profile-verification requests, investigate safety reports, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve LINQ.

How information is shared

Profile information you publish is visible to signed-in LINQ users. Messages and date plans are visible to the people in that match. Private reports, product feedback, exact birthdates, and verification selfies are not displayed to other users.

We use service providers, including Google Firebase and Apple, for authentication, database and photo storage, cloud functions, notifications, crash reporting, app distribution, and music catalog search. If you use the optional soundtrack picker, your search text is sent to Apple only to return matching songs. Crash reports contain technical stack traces and device/app information; LINQ does not attach chat messages, profile text, email addresses, or account IDs to those reports. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.

LINQ does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account in LINQ Settings. Account deletion removes the authentication account, profile, private profile data, photos, matches, personal conversations, likes, decisions, blocks, notification tokens, date feedback, verification records, and product feedback associated with that account.

Safety reports may be retained when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, prevent harm, enforce our policies, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. A retained safety record may reference an internal user ID after the associated account is deleted.

Your choices

You may edit your profile, manage notification permission in iOS Settings, unmatch, block, report, send a privacy request through in-app feedback, or delete your account from LINQ Settings. You may also email us to request access, correction, or deletion assistance.

Adults only

LINQ is only for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts. Contact us if you believe a minor is using LINQ.

Security

We use authentication, access rules, private storage paths, server-side validation, and moderation tools designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as LINQ changes. The effective date at the top will show when the latest version took effect. Material changes may also be announced in the app.
